This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver solutions, architecture, and technical expertise for complex, distributed software and hardware challenges.

• Perform research, analyze, and determine the structure and design for building, testing, implementing, or maintaining software.

• Create a comprehensive architecture design that addresses current requirements while being adaptable for future needs.

• Engage in discussions and probe assumptions to clarify requirements, eliminate ambiguities, and focus on the core issues to be resolved.

• Generate detailed functional and technical documentation to effectively convey intent to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Develop software systems with a focus on extensibility and maintainability.

• Design and evaluate prototypes, proofs of technology, and proofs of concept.

• Adapt to assume Subject Matter Expert roles within the technical organization as needed.

• Aim to eliminate and prevent information silos within the organization.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers across various functions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is preferred, alongside at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.

• Hands-on experience in Software Development, Software & Systems Architecture, and Systems Programming.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Proficient in Systems Architecture, Specification, Design, and large-scale transactional integrated systems.

• Prior experience in Agile, XP, or rapid solutions delivery teams.

• Familiarity with Cloud-Native Architecture and Support (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly in "serverless" technologies.

• Advocate for Test-First or Test-Driven development methodologies.

• Experience with event-driven technologies such as EventBridge, Kinesis, and SQS.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing highly available systems with a 99.99 SLA.

• Expertise in Git and various Git workflows.

• Ability to work across different areas of the technology stack, including frontend, backend, database, and SDLC tooling.

• Proven capability to balance being a technology advocate while managing technical debt effectively.

• Experience in developing Generative AI-Powered applications while mitigating hallucinations and other potential issues (SE4AI).

• Practical experience in applying Generative AI tools that boost developer productivity while ensuring developers retain essential skills and system comprehension (AI4SE).
