Software Applications Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities and enhance existing code and features.

• Conduct analysis and modeling for components, features, systems, and products.

• Create unit testing strategies.

• Address and resolve product defects.

• Design or suggest modifications to data structures, business objects, and user interface elements.

• Engage in design, release, and sprint planning activities.

• Execute software testing following established procedures and tools.

• Produce supporting documentation, including test plans, technical specifications, feature narratives, class/object descriptions, and in-code annotations.

• Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Technical Support teams to identify and troubleshoot product issues.

• Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, data structures, utilities, and tools.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis on defects and other challenges.

• Lead and participate in code, design, and test reviews.

• Spearhead R&D and product enhancement initiatives.

• Coordinate with Technical Support, Documentation, Quality Assurance, Product Line Management, and Conversions teams.

• Provide technical assistance and work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve product performance issues.

• Follow development guidelines, policies, and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• 7 years of programming and analysis experience in a corporate setting.

• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft C++.

• Familiarity with ISAM.

• Experience in Agile development methodologies.

• Proven experience in developing desktop applications for Microsoft Windows operating systems.

• Knowledge of database design concepts and SQL.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-managing, self-motivated, and highly energetic.

• Proficient in interfacing effectively with customers and employees at all levels.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.

• Comfortable with customer interactions.

• Preferred: Experience with a relational database like SQL Server.

• Preferred: Knowledge of C# and .NET.

• Preferred: Experience in developing Windows Forms applications.
