Sock Manager, Inventory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Supervise inventory operations in a dynamic hair and beauty setting

• Oversee stock budgets and forecast inventory needs

• Ensure accurate stock control processes and product availability

• Evaluate product performance, profit margins, and identify slow-moving stock

• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors

• Perform regular stocktakes and cycle counts

• Liaise directly with salons concerning stock updates and deliveries

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and product handling regulations

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing stock systems and operational efficiencies

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in stock or inventory management within hair & beauty, cosmetics, salon, retail, or wholesale sectors

• Solid understanding of professional and retail hair & beauty product lines

• Experience in managing high-volume inventory and product turnover

• Familiarity with salon operations, color systems, and usage patterns is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage stock budgets and uphold cost controls

• Strong skills in reconciliation and reporting

• Proficient in inventory management systems, POS platforms, and Microsoft Excel

• Capability to analyze sales trends, stock movements, and product performance data

• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities

• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work effectively with salon teams, retail staff, finance, and procurement departments

• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving

• A relevant qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or a related field is advantageous
