Social Security Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform viability assessments of cases, identifying risks, opportunities, and the best social security strategy for each situation;

• Prepare initial social security pleadings for litigation;

• Develop judicial appeals;

• Create interim filings and motions;

• Gradually take on more responsibilities within the litigation practice, including participating in hearings and delivering oral arguments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Law degree with active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar);

• Postgraduate specialization in Social Security Law is advantageous;

• Extensive experience in judicial social security law;

• Background in cases involving special insured individuals, recognition of rural activity, means-tested/assistance benefits, and disability benefits;

• Demonstrated experience managing social security litigation from inception to conclusion with technical independence;

• Proficient in drafting initial pleadings, appeals, submissions, and participating in hearings as well as other activities related to comprehensive management of a judicial social security caseload;

• Preferable familiarity with legal practice management software, particularly Astrea, and document management tools like Dropbox;

• Understanding of Visual Law and the application of artificial intelligence tools in legal workflows is a plus;

• Organized, dedicated, and proactive profile, with high standards for quality deliverables, strong attention to detail, and ability to adhere to established procedures and workflows;

• Collaborative mindset, clear and straightforward communication, and a desire to build a growth path within the firm.
