Social Media Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and launch the Instagram and TikTok profiles from scratch, encompassing positioning, tone of voice, content pillars, visual direction, and channel strategy.

• Formulate and implement an organic growth strategy that prioritizes reach, engagement, follower acquisition, and sustainable audience development.

• Design viral campaign ideas, social-first narratives, and scalable content formats that create a unique and recognizable online identity.

• Oversee the entire content lifecycle, including research, ideation, scripting, content scheduling, production coordination, approvals, publication, and optimization.

• Leverage platform analytics, audience insights, watch time, retention, and engagement metrics to inform creative decisions and enhance performance.

• Handle daily community engagement and collaborate with the founder and creative partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in launching and growing Instagram and TikTok accounts organically from the ground up or from an initial zero-follower stage.

• A robust portfolio showcasing high-performing, viral, or culturally significant social content, backed by quantifiable growth outcomes.

• In-depth knowledge of Instagram and TikTok algorithms, audience behavior, retention strategies, discoverability, engagement tactics, and organic growth dynamics.

• Exceptional creative strategy and social-first storytelling capabilities, with a knack for transforming a personality into engaging and repeatable content.

• Practical experience in managing social media comprehensively, from strategy and content creation to production, publication, analytics, and community management.

• Strong project management and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working closely with founders and creative production teams.

• Availability to work during PST hours.

• Experience with creator-led brands, founders, entertainment properties, personality-driven accounts, legal brands, or character-driven content is beneficial but not mandatory.
