• Oversee a detailed social media calendar that includes publishing information by channel, ensuring accessibility for the wider marketing team.
• Administer the social listening platform for CIEE Study Abroad’s main social media channels, including responding to and engaging with posts as appropriate, and escalating inquiries or comments when necessary.
• Monitor mentions of CIEE Study Abroad across social media using hashtags and tracking across various center locations.
• Develop and distribute relevant, engaging content that aligns with the CIEE Study Abroad brand and targets prospective college students.
• Ensure consistency with the brand’s tone and voice.
• Analyze engagement reports to assess which types of content and delivery channels yield the best performance, and share and implement these insights as needed.
• Assist in integrated marketing campaigns from a social media standpoint by suggesting and executing data-driven social media strategies based on metrics and best practices.
• Maintain a handbook of social media guidelines and best practices to support CIEE Centers.
• Track and evaluate key metrics to measure success and impact against student enrollment objectives.
• Enhance ambassador and influencer programs by fostering referral-based growth through social media initiatives.
• Investigate new content strategies and distribution channels, including testing opportunities as part of the content marketing team.
• Stay updated on best practices in content and social media marketing.
• Professional experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, for a consumer brand, ideally within the education sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Social Media, or a related field.
• Familiarity with social media management or monitoring tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Later, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Microsoft Office, and/or Canva.
• Strong sense of creativity and alignment with brand identity.
• Exceptional multitasking and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven writing and content experience that resonates with student audiences.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Basic skills in video creation, production, and/or editing are a plus.
