• Oversee a detailed social media calendar that includes publishing information by channel, ensuring accessibility for the broader marketing team.
• Manage the social listening platform for CIEE Study Abroad’s key social media channels, engaging with posts and escalating inquiries as necessary.
• Monitor mentions of CIEE Study Abroad across various social media platforms by hashtag and across center locations.
• Develop and distribute relevant, captivating content that aligns with the CIEE Study Abroad brand, aimed at reaching prospective college students.
• Ensure consistency with brand tone and voice.
• Analyze engagement reports to assess which content types and delivery channels yield the best performance, sharing and implementing recommendations accordingly.
• Contribute to integrated marketing campaigns from a social media standpoint by proposing and executing strategies based on data, metrics, and best practices.
• Maintain a handbook of social media guidelines and best practices to assist CIEE Centers.
• Monitor and evaluate key metrics to assess success and impact in relation to student enrollment objectives.
• Expand ambassador and influencer programs by driving growth through referral-based social initiatives.
• Investigate new content strategies and distribution channels, including testing opportunities as part of the content marketing team.
• Stay informed on the latest best practices in content and social media marketing.
• Proven experience with social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, for a consumer brand, ideally within the education sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Social Media or a related field.
• Familiarity with social media management or monitoring tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Later, or other similar platforms.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Microsoft Office, and/or Canva.
• Strong sense of creativity and alignment with brand values.
• Exceptional multitasking and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Proven experience in writing/content creation that resonates with student audiences.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a strong sense of urgency.
• Basic skills in video creation, production, and/or editing are a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have:
