• Design and implement detailed social media strategies for Ookla and its associated brands: Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics.
• Oversee and enhance our presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other pertinent platforms.
• Produce captivating and thoroughly researched content that appeals to both our technical and consumer audiences.
• Collaborate with industry analysts and thought leaders to create engaging thought leadership materials.
• Stay updated on social media trends and apply innovative methods to connect with our audience.
• Manage social media relationships with strategic partners while navigating complex industry environments.
• Evaluate social media metrics and offer actionable insights to improve performance.
• Develop and oversee content calendars for all platforms.
• Implement and analyze paid social media campaigns that yield measurable business outcomes.
• Create engaging multimedia content, including short-form videos for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Assist with additional initiatives as needed, driven by the Product Marketing team.
• 2-3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience managing social media channels, demonstrating success in increasing engagement and audience size.
• Strong skills in content creation across various formats (text, image, video).
• Proficiency in video editing software (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, Capcut, Camtasia).
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in managing social media content across different platforms.
• Strong project management skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Creative thinker capable of generating innovative marketing concepts and strategies.
• Experience in B2B marketing is a plus but not required.
• Experience in influencer or affiliate marketing is a plus but not required.
• Background in the Internet or telecommunications industry is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Hubspot is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems is a plus but not required.
• Understanding of AI technologies, especially GPT models and their applications in content creation and social media, is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel for occasional trade shows and team offsite events.
