Social Media Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement extensive social media strategies for Ookla and its associated brands: Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics.

• Manage and enhance our presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other pertinent platforms.

• Create captivating, thoroughly researched content that appeals to both technical and consumer audiences.

• Collaborate with industry analysts and thought leaders to produce engaging thought leadership material.

• Monitor social media trends and adopt innovative methods to connect with our audience.

• Manage social media partnerships while navigating complex industry dynamics.

• Analyze social media metrics and provide actionable insights to enhance performance.

• Develop and oversee content calendars across all platforms.

• Execute and report on paid social media campaigns that yield measurable business outcomes.

• Produce engaging multimedia content, including short-form videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

• Provide support for additional initiatives as needed from the Product Marketing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience managing social media channels, with a track record of increasing engagement and audience growth.

• Strong skills in content creation across various formats (text, image, video).

• Familiarity with video editing software (Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Camtasia).

• Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills capable of collaborating effectively across departments.
