Social Media Manager, Content Creator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will take complete responsibility for Doonails' TikTok and Instagram presence in the US. This includes developing the content strategy, independently producing videos as an on-camera talent, and enhancing our community through a blend of creativity and strategic planning.

• Create and manage Doonails' US TikTok channel from start to finish: content strategy, posting schedule, community engagement, and TikTok Shop. This channel is yours to lead.

• Independently create TikTok videos as an on-camera talent, including trends, tutorials, product demonstrations, Get-Ready-With-Me segments, and behind-the-scenes content. You won't need a director or complicated setups.

• Collaborate with our German Socials team to exchange successful formats, brainstorm creative ideas, and tailor global trends specifically for the US audience.

• Identify and swiftly adopt platform trends, sounds, and formats that are relevant to the beauty and nails niche on TikTok and Instagram before they become mainstream.

• Establish and nurture relationships with US creators and micro-influencers for collaborations, cross-promotions, and community expansion.

• Assist TikTok Shop with content creation and community management, including weekly creator meetings and Discord-based community development (Creator House format).

• Monitor and evaluate performance metrics across both channels (views, engagement, follower growth, TikTok Shop sales, Story engagement rate) and continually refine your content strategy based on the data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience on TikTok: You have successfully built a brand or channel on TikTok in the past. You can provide growth statistics, engagement metrics, and ideally showcase a brand you’ve helped elevate from obscurity to recognition.

• Strong on-camera presence: You possess natural charisma, relatability, and comfort when in front of a camera. You know when to speak, when to let the product take center stage, and how to keep viewers engaged.

• Familiarity with US culture: You have an innate understanding of US creator culture, humor, trends, and platform dynamics. This is not something we can teach from Munich.

• Content strategy orientation: You don’t merely post; you create. You think in terms of formats, series, and platform-specific storytelling that builds momentum over time.

• Self-motivated and proactive: You can begin your role effectively without extensive onboarding. You bring your own creative vision, suggest your own formats, and do not wait for instructions.

• Background in beauty or lifestyle: You have experience working with or alongside consumer brands in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle sectors and understand the audience and market.

• Communication skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
