Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a data-driven social media strategy that aligns with brand and growth objectives.

• Conceptualize, produce, schedule, and enhance social media content.

• Oversee the social content calendar across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and other pivotal platforms.

• Examine performance metrics and continually refine content based on analytical insights.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, and Content teams for campaigns and product launches.

• Establish best practices for tone of voice and content governance.

• Keep up-to-date with platform changes and social media best practices.

• Manage comprehensive social media initiatives for Hire Hangar and its clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing social media accounts for a brand or business.

• Previous remote work experience is essential.

• Proficient with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Asana or similar platforms.

• Experience working with US- or UK-based companies is required.

• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their performance metrics.

• Capability to work independently and manage comprehensive social media initiatives.

• Familiarity with Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout, or similar scheduling tools.

• Knowledge of native platform analytics and Google Analytics.

• Ability to work in US time zones, particularly EST–PST / 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.

• Excellent written English skills.

• Must complete the application form in its entirety.

• Experience in SaaS, tech, or digital-first companies is preferred.

• Familiarity with paid social amplification and A/B testing is preferred.

• Experience in defining brand voice and social guidelines is preferred.
