Social Media Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of MEAWW's social media strategy, overseeing daily publishing, audience expansion, and real-time engagement across various platforms.

• Direct daily social media publications on Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and additional platforms, ensuring timely and top-notch content delivery.

• Spot viral stories, breaking news, and trending topics within U.S. entertainment and politics, and provide guidance to the team for real-time reporting.

• Oversee and mentor the social media team, delegate tasks, review content, and uphold strong editorial and visual standards for all outputs.

• Collaborate with editors, writers, and video teams to enhance workflows and support rapid content production.

• Monitor daily analytics, track KPIs, and leverage insights to refine posting schedules, formats, headlines, and thumbnails.

• Ensure rigorous compliance with MEAWW's brand standards, editorial integrity, compliance guidelines, and best practices for each platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital journalism, or roles focused on audience engagement.

• Demonstrated success in managing high-traffic social media accounts for a news or entertainment organization.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. entertainment, celebrity culture, trending news, and various social media platforms.

• Proficient in using Meta Business Suite, Twitter/X tools, YouTube Studio, TikTok insights, and scheduling applications.

• Exceptional writing skills, particularly in crafting headlines and identifying trends.

• Capability to lead a team, thrive under pressure, and manage quick turnarounds effectively.

• Previous night shift experience or comfort with U.S.-aligned working hours is preferred.
