Social Media Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily publication of content across various social media platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.

• Contribute to The Dispatch’s Reddit strategy and community engagement initiatives through post sharing, subreddit analysis, and active involvement.

• Identify, extract, edit, and share engaging quotes and highlights from Dispatch podcasts, videos, and editorial material across social media channels.

• Aid in the implementation of execution-focused workflows related to content creation and dissemination.

• Keep track of social media trends pertinent to politics, news, and culture to help discover opportunities for audience growth and engagement.

• Assist with social media analytics and performance evaluation.

• Support internal projects and operational processes that enhance The Dispatch’s social media visibility and outreach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or master’s degree program. Graduates from May 2025 or later are also welcome to apply.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in non-personal social media demonstrating the capability to enhance a brand across diverse platforms.

• Strong understanding of social media platform dynamics and content optimization for Instagram, X, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.

• Ability to recognize engaging quotes, clips, and headlines that perform effectively on social media.

• Basic skills in graphic design, video editing, or social media tools are an advantage.

• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with the flexibility to adjust priorities when needed.
