Social Media Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Implement daily tactical social strategies for VAMOS’ brands and channels, ensuring each post reflects our distinctive voice of passion, empathy, courage, and joy.

• Support the creation and upkeep of the VAMOS social media calendar, encompassing both real-time interactions and scheduled content.

• Generate captivating original content, including sharp, culturally relevant copy and high-impact visual assets that embody the voice and tone of our platform.

• Stay updated on real-time global soccer news, enabling you to provide a unique perspective as soon as a story breaks.

• Engage daily with VAMOS communities, transforming followers into devoted fans.

• Collaborate with leadership to produce analytics reports on content performance, offering insights to enhance reach and engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in a fast-paced social media role, with a strong preference for experience in soccer-specific or sports newsroom environments.

• Native or professional-level proficiency in both Spanish and English.

• Ability to function as a producer/editor hybrid, with skills in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, along with expertise in mobile-first tools like CapCut.

• Extensive knowledge of the global soccer landscape, particularly with a focus on the narratives of futbol from the Americas (CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, MLS, Liga MX, Copa Libertadores).

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that aligns with the futbol calendar, including nights and weekends.

• An intrinsic understanding of trends - you are aware of what’s popular on social media and can effectively relate that to a VAMOS-specific futbol audience.
