Social Media Content Creator – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create short-form video content. Edit and produce polished vertical reels, which include recording voiceovers, while managing the sourcing and organization of raw footage, pacing, captions, sound, and effects.

• Design carousel posts. Assemble high-quality carousel posts for use in feeds.

• Ensure consistent delivery. Maintain a steady output of 3 pieces of content each week, delivered on schedule and to an exceptional standard.

• Work autonomously. Take a brief or raw material and execute it independently, verifying your work for quality and brand alignment before it is submitted.

• Infuse craft into your work. Utilize strong editing instincts, pacing, and visual judgment to create content that achieves strong performance.

• Remain adaptable. Adjust to changing priorities and urgent turnaround requests as new campaigns arise.

• You are an adept editor. You are proficient with editing software (such as CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar) and can quickly produce clean, well-paced short-form videos.

• You possess a discerning eye. You know what makes a photo or video feel authentic, contemporary, and suitable for the platform.

• You are self-motivated. You can take a brief and produce results independently, catching your own errors before they are noticed by others.

• You are dependable. You consistently meet deadlines and communicate proactively if issues arise.

• You are receptive to feedback. You accept direction well and can iterate on your work without becoming overly attached to it.

• You are passionate about the mission. While you do not need to be an activist yourself, you are eager to apply your skills to social justice storytelling.

• $40–50 CAD/hr, based on experience, for 10–15 hours/week on a flexible freelance basis.
