SOC Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Operate and oversee the Darktrace Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution tailored for a Teltec client.

• Conduct ongoing monitoring of alerts and detections produced by the platform, performing initial analysis and enrichment of identified events.

• Examine suspicious activities and potential threats detected in network traffic utilizing the analytical features of the NDR solution.

• Manage and enhance policies, detection rules, exceptions, and tool configurations to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

• Assist in security incident response processes by supplying technical evidence, context, and recommendations for containment and remediation.

• Continuously fine-tune the platform to minimize false positives and enhance detection quality.

• Create and sustain technical documentation, operational procedures, and playbooks pertaining to the tool’s operation.

• Prepare technical and executive reports that encompass indicators, trends, identified threats, and suggestions for enhancing the monitored environment.

• Act as the technical point of contact for the client regarding NDR-related issues, leading operational and technical alignment meetings.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending new detections, use cases, and monitoring strategies to bolster visibility and security maturity.

• Collaborate with SOC, MDR, Network, and Infrastructure teams to investigate, validate, and manage security events detected by the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networks, or a related discipline.

• Experience in networks and infrastructure.

• Experience with security incident response.

• Familiarity with adversary tactics and techniques (attack methods).

• Proficient in English.

• Security-related certifications.

• Knowledge/experience with Darktrace tools.

• Darktrace certifications.
