SOC 2 Associate Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• The Manager role encompasses the management of client engagements and internal tasks associated with SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 examinations, HIPAA assessments, and external audits of various security and privacy frameworks/standards.

• Provides auditing services focused on security, compliance, and attestation.

• Oversees the daily operations of IT audit engagements (SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, SOC for cybersecurity).

• Assesses the design and effectiveness of technology controls.

• Identifies and reports IT audit findings to management.

• Assists in pinpointing performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients.

• Engages in effective communication with clients and team members.

• Participates in client meetings and builds client relationships through proactive communication.

• Supervises and manages the performance of IT audit personnel involved in assigned engagements.

• Delivers weekly status updates to management.

• Proactively informs management about any possible issues.

• Conducts training for staff within the IT audit team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, cybersecurity, or management information systems.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in executing IT audit engagements at a Big 4 or similar audit/consulting firm.

• Familiarity with GRC and compliance automation tools (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Secureframe) is advantageous.

• Candidates should hold an active certification or be in pursuit of CISA, CPA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, or PCI QSA certifications.

• Bilingual proficiency in English is required.
