Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Enhance, optimize, validate, and automate core MinIO software to improve performance, scalability, and security.

• Assist in the development and delivery of high-performance distributed storage solutions, emphasizing cloud-native architectures.

• Validate the MinIO software based on customer environments and requirements, ensuring a smooth deployment experience.

• Enhance existing features, resolve critical issues, and contribute to open-source repositories.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to refine architecture, APIs, and integrations.

• Produce efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.

• Conduct performance benchmarking and debugging in complex storage environments.

• Work closely with customers to address their concerns and manage expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong desire and capability to work directly with customers to address their needs through product enhancements and automation.

• Familiarity with DevOps, GitOps, automation, and testing frameworks.

• Expertise in distributed systems, networking, or high-performance computing.

• Experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, containers, and microservices.

• Proficient in Go is preferred (or extensive experience in C/C++/Rust with a willingness to learn Go).

• In-depth knowledge of storage systems, file systems, or databases.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience debugging complex, large-scale applications.

• Contributions to open-source projects are advantageous.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong sense of ownership.
