This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Provides administrative, reporting, contractual, and financial assistance to the department concerning the processing of payments to FSP investigative sites.
• Generates payments, inputs budgets, conducts reconciliations, etc., in accordance with procedural documents and site contracts.
• Gathers data from various sources to facilitate payments to sites.
• Inputs budgets and updates SVTs; conducts study reconciliations.
• Oversees refunds, credit notes, late payment fees, pre-payments, or investigator reimbursements.
• Ensures compliance with country-specific regulations that influence the ability to process payments.
• Manages payment duties and workflows to meet contracted deadlines and project deliverables.
• Develops and nurtures relationships with study sites and occasionally interacts with clients regarding payment-specific matters.
• Addresses study-related escalations and resolves payment-related issues.
• Appropriately identifies project risks.
• Guides study teams on site payment procedures, including setting expectations regarding the requirements and deliverables for site payments.
• May assist in training and providing guidance to junior team members.
• High / Secondary school diploma or its equivalent.
• Relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in the Finance sector.
• Prior experience in an international corporate setting, preferably in payment processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in the English language.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-management capabilities.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Adaptable and capable of reprioritizing workload to accommodate changing business demands.
• Proficient technical skills with a quick ability to learn new software; pre-intermediate MS Excel; preferred experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Site Payment platforms, EDC, and financial systems.
• Solid understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practices, country regulations, and applicable tax laws relevant to all nonclinical and clinical aspects of project implementation, execution, and closure.
