This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead the strategy and implementation of site acquisition for radar and sensor installation locations both in the U.S. and internationally.
• Assess and analyze potential sites according to technical, environmental, regulatory, and operational criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering, RF, and systems teams to conduct site feasibility studies.
• Oversee negotiations with landowners, utilities, municipalities, and government entities.
• Facilitate the necessary permitting, zoning, and regulatory approvals for site development.
• Work in partnership with engineering and construction teams to ensure sites are ready for installation and operational activities.
• Supervise site due diligence processes, including access, power supply, data connectivity, and environmental assessments.
• Create and oversee site acquisition timelines that align with program schedules and deployment goals.
• Address risks linked to land access, regulatory issues, and deployment setbacks.
• Foster robust relationships with stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
• Manage external consultants, advisors, brokers, surveyors, environmental experts, RF consultants, utilities, and other technical collaborators to ensure timely and high-quality outputs.
• Collaborate closely with LeoLabs stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Corporate Affairs to ensure site acquisition efforts align with technical, commercial, and programmatic objectives.
• Together with the broader site acquisition and pre-construction team, develop, maintain, and continuously enhance site acquisition processes, templates, checklists, and playbooks to improve consistency, efficiency, and decision-making quality across the program.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including decision logs, version-controlled files, and supporting materials for audit readiness and knowledge retention.
• Create concise executive updates that outline key decisions, risks, recommendations, and next steps for leadership and program stakeholders. Assist in long-term site portfolio planning and expansion strategies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in program management, project management, operations, business development, real estate/site development, site acquisition, infrastructure development, international expansion, or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams, effectively balancing competing priorities while ensuring momentum, quality, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, adept at navigating complex, ambiguous, or evolving scenarios where success relies on external partnerships, clear documentation, disciplined follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficient project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical, regulatory, and commercial information into clear recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Keen attention to detail concerning documentation quality, recordkeeping, and version control.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the U.S. and internationally as needed.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Personnel Security Clearance.
