ServiceNow Cloud Migration Lead – Senior Consultant, Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive migration planning encompassing discovery, architecture, cutover, and validation after migration.

• Perform a thorough evaluation of the existing on-premises instance, including version details, customizations, integrations, and data volume.

• Develop the migration strategy, which may include a clone-based lift, alignment for upgrades, or a phased rollout.

• Oversee the reconfiguration of ServiceNow cloning, MID Server adjustments, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) connectivity.

• Review and rectify custom scripts, flows, and integrations prior to migration.

• Collaborate with the client’s infrastructure and security teams regarding network, Single Sign-On (SSO), and firewall modifications.

• Implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support, conduct regression testing, and provide hypercare following the go-live phase.

• Create detailed migration runbooks, risk registers, and cutover plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience on the ServiceNow platform, with at least one successful cloud migration from on-premises to cloud.

• In-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including MID Servers, instance cloning, and upgrade pathways.

• Practical knowledge of GCP networking concepts such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Interconnect, and DNS.

• Expertise in ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.

• Experience with integrations involving REST, SOAP, LDAP, and SSO/SAML.

• Acquainted with ServiceNow Personal Developer Instance (PDI), instance hierarchy, and clone exclusion protocols.

• Nice to Have

• CSA or CIS certification.

• Background in ServiceNow Health Scan and Automated Test Framework (ATF).

• Previous experience in KSA/GCC enterprise settings.
