Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Assist in the growth of aftermarket business across various regions within the African territory.

• Address complaints from customers and dealers, performing fault identification and resolution.

• Comprehend and rectify issues related to the installation and operation of Chillers, packaged systems, ducted splits, and HVAC systems.

• Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on HVAC equipment and systems.

• Ensure the proper selection of replacement parts, and initiate requisitions for spares and consumables according to company protocols for repair and maintenance tasks.

• Regularly maintain and update customer databases, service reports, and equipment history.

• Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance.

• Conduct product service training programs for service engineers and technicians from distribution partners.

• Provide customers with advice on repairs, including cost estimates, and make recommendations for preventive maintenance.

• Prepare quotes and manage the execution of service tasks.

• Respond to emergency situations during or outside of regular hours to address immediate safety issues.

• Assist customers in the startup and commissioning of supplied equipment.

• Offer support to customers via telephone or email for equipment startup or troubleshooting to resolve faults.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably focused on the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning stream, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Background in HVAC with experience in field troubleshooting and customer relationship management.

• Strong understanding of measuring and testing instruments and their applications.

• Proven ability to understand blueprints, drawings, and diagrams while troubleshooting.
