Service Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take charge of aligning service delivery from start to finish, ensuring it meets customer expectations while matching internal capabilities.

• Oversee the definition of scope, planning, tracking of execution, and engagement with cross-functional resources.

• Lead the execution of delivery within the established scope, while managing risk, maintaining cost awareness, and promoting efficiency.

• Relay delivery status, potential risks, and dependencies to both customers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide delivery and technical insights during presales discussions to assess feasibility and the approach to delivery.

• Act as a liaison between engineering teams, delivery stakeholders, and customer-facing functions to guarantee the feasibility of solutions.

• Utilize your network engineering expertise to critically assess and influence proposed technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

• Previous roles in service delivery, project management, or service coordination are essential.

• Hands-on experience as a network engineer is required.

• Familiarity with network lifecycle activities, including design, deployment, migration, and validation.

• Experience in optical transport and networking environments, particularly with DWDM and Layer 0/Layer 1 technologies.

• Proven experience collaborating with customers, cross-functional delivery teams, and engineering resources.

• Ability to take ownership of delivery in early-stage engagements where structures may still be developing.

• Capable of balancing technical discussions, delivery planning, and commercial aspects.

• Proficient in working independently in a remote setting while being accountable for results.

• Experience working with teams across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
