📋 Description

• Strategize, create, and publish a regular series of blog articles aimed at high-value keywords within the Greek life, collegiate, and custom apparel sectors.

• Craft content that addresses genuine search intent - providing truly helpful guides, listicles, comparative articles, and how-to pieces that attract clicks and increase time on page.

• Maintain a content calendar aligned with Fresh Prints' seasonal events: fall recruitment, spring rush, homecoming, formal events, philanthropy activities, and graduation.

• Write for a college-age audience in a tone that embodies Fresh Prints - intelligent, friendly, and slightly irreverent - avoiding a corporate or generic style.

• Compose and optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and body text for various pages across the website.

• Discover internal linking opportunities that enhance crawlability and evenly distribute page authority throughout the site.

• Collaborate with the Tech team to ensure new content launches are correctly configured for SEO purposes.

• Create and implement a backlink strategy focused on the sites, publications, and communities most relevant to Fresh Prints' audience, such as Greek life media, college newspapers, campus life blogs, lifestyle publications, and higher education marketplaces.

• Write and propose guest posts, data-driven narratives, and resource articles that achieve organic placements.

• Cultivate relationships with bloggers, journalists, and site owners in related fields who cover collegiate life, campus fashion, and custom merchandise.

• Monitor the link profile using SEO tools and report on domain authority growth and the acquisition of referring domains over time.

• Formulate Fresh Prints' strategy for being featured in AI-generated search responses on platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot.

• Identify the question formats and informational inquiries where Fresh Prints should be cited and create content specifically to secure those citations.

• Track how Fresh Prints is referenced (or not) in AI answer engines and make adjustments based on the insights gained.

• Analyze organic traffic, keyword rankings, backlink acquisition, and content engagement - using this data to inform the content roadmap.

• Conduct regular content audits to identify underperforming pages with ranking potential that have not been optimized, and deprioritize or consolidate low-value content.

• Develop and enhance the framework for assessing content ROI.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a closely related discipline.

• A portfolio showcasing published work that reflects strong writing quality and effective search performance.

• Practical experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar.

• Proven understanding of on-page SEO best practices: keyword research, search intent mapping, header structuring, internal linking, and meta optimization.

• Familiarity with GEO / AI search optimization is a significant advantage.

• Ability to write in various formats: long-form guides, short blog posts, product descriptions, and landing page content.

• Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
