SEO, GEO Content Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Strategically plan, compose, and publish a steady stream of blog articles targeting high-value keywords within the Greek life, collegiate, and custom apparel sectors.

• Create content that effectively addresses genuine search intent—offering valuable guides, listicles, comparison articles, and how-to content that attracts clicks and keeps users engaged.

• Maintain a content calendar aligned with Fresh Prints' seasonal events: fall recruitment, spring rush, homecoming, formals, philanthropy activities, and graduation.

• Write for a college audience in a tone that embodies Fresh Prints—intelligent, warm, and slightly irreverent—avoiding a corporate or generic style.

• Compose and optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and body text for various pages on the site.

• Identify internal linking opportunities that enhance crawlability and distribute page authority throughout the site.

• Collaborate with the Tech team to ensure that new content launches are properly set up for SEO.

• Develop and implement a backlink strategy focused on websites, publications, and communities that are most relevant to Fresh Prints' audience, including Greek life media, college newspapers, campus life blogs, lifestyle publications, and higher education marketplaces.

• Write and propose guest posts, data-driven stories, and resource articles that achieve organic placements.

• Cultivate relationships with bloggers, journalists, and site owners in related fields covering collegiate life, campus fashion, and custom merchandise.

• Monitor the link profile using SEO tools and report on the growth of domain authority and acquisition of referring domains over time.

• Formulate Fresh Prints' strategy for appearing in AI-generated search results on platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot.

• Determine the question formats and informational queries where Fresh Prints should be cited and create content specifically designed to achieve those citations.

• Observe how Fresh Prints is being referenced in AI answer engines and adapt based on findings.

• Stay updated on the evolution of generative search and share relevant insights.

• Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, backlink acquisition, and content engagement, using this data to inform the content roadmap.

• Conduct regular content audits to identify under-optimized pages with ranking potential, and deprioritize or consolidate thin content.

• Develop and enhance the framework for measuring content ROI.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a closely related area.

• A portfolio showcasing published work that illustrates strong writing skills and effective search performance.

• Practical experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar.

• Proven understanding of on-page SEO best practices: keyword research, search intent mapping, header structure, internal linking, and meta optimization.

• Familiarity with GEO / AI search optimization is a significant advantage.

• Ability to write in various formats, including long-form guides, short blog posts, product descriptions, and landing page content.

• Comfort in working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
