SEO Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• The SEO Engineer is tasked with conducting site audits, performing technical and competitive analyses, engineering content, and utilizing generative AI to enhance Organic Search visibility for clients.

• This role allows for full-time remote work from any location within the U.S.

• The position requires minimal travel, less than 5% of the time (i.e., no more than several days), for client and business strategization, occurring a few times annually.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with backend programming languages such as Python or PHP;

• At least 3 years of experience working with Relational Databases, including MySQL or BigQuery;

• A minimum of 3 years of proficiency with APIs, Google Apps Script, and productivity applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace;

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in leveraging search engine ranking factors, such as backlink authority and trust signals, technical site architecture, user engagement signals, as well as current SEO practices including page speed optimization, Core Web Vitals, content engineering, and both internationalization and localization;

• At least 3 years of experience using HTML and CSS to implement and troubleshoot on-page SEO elements;

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor and enhance SEO performance;

• At least 4 years of experience with industry-standard SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog for conducting site audits, keyword analysis, and competitive analysis.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, a related field, or foreign equivalent, accompanied by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in roles focused on data analysis, automation, technical performance optimization, and digital strategy.
