Senior/Principal Biostatistician Consultant, Infectious Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Act as a study statistician or provide support as a statistician for Bronchiectasis or Hepatitis B programs.

• Accountable for the development of protocols, which includes study design, sample size estimation, randomization, and the statistical analysis plan for designated studies.

• Ensure statistical oversight for studies, maintaining quality and consistency in accordance with project requirements.

• Responsible for ensuring that data utilized for statistical analyses is complete, precise, and consistent.

• Oversee statistical analysis plans and ensure the accuracy and promptness of statistical contributions to reports or decisions.

• Ensure the validity of analyses and explore alternative analysis strategies in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, identifying and rectifying flaws in scientific reasoning and statistical interpretation.

• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of statistical tables, figures, and data listings, as well as the precision of report texts, and the alignment between summary tables in the reports and their corresponding source tables and listings.

• Manage the statistical methods section of reports, identifying and addressing common interpretation errors, inconsistencies in presentation or inference, adherence to reporting guidelines, and ensuring consistency across the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline.

• A high level of technical expertise.

• Knowledge of Poisson regression or negative binomial methods, time-to-event analysis, or multiple imputation techniques.

• Proficient in experimental design, as well as descriptive and inferential statistics.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, particularly with clinical trials.

• Preferred experience in vaccines or infectious diseases, though not mandatory.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong programming abilities in SAS/R.
