This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Conduct research on threats such as rooting/jailbreaking, app tampering, and runtime tampering in mobile operating systems and applications across Android, iOS, and Harmony OS Next.
• Collaborate with the team to create protection mechanisms through reverse engineering, vulnerability research, exploitation, mitigation techniques, and mobile/embedded development.
• Partner with the team to execute penetration tests on V-Key’s products and applications.
• Work alongside the team to script attacks and defenses specifically for mobile devices and applications.
• Create demonstrations of security attacks and defenses for customers.
• Collaborate on security solutions architecture that includes not only mobile devices but also other networked components, utilizing authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and FIDO2, while understanding and evaluating cryptographic protocols and algorithms as necessary.
• Must possess over 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Strong understanding of operating system internals (including Android, iOS, Harmony OS Next, Linux, etc.) and mobile app development.
• Familiarity with rooting/jailbreaking, runtime tampering, app tampering, and tools used to conceal these activities.
• Knowledge of attack and reverse engineering tools such as Frida, Theos, Ghidra, and IDA Pro.
• Experience with web VAPT tools like Burp Suite.
• Understanding of various tools and methodologies to foster innovation and creative solutions, rather than merely using tools as they are.
• Solid grasp of threat modeling, with familiarity in at least one threat modeling framework.
• Strong self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision while remaining open to feedback and improvement.
• Detail-oriented with a significant emphasis on quality.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and expanding environment.
• Positive attitude towards work, proactive mindset, and highly motivated.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics (particularly related to cryptography), or a related field is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in information security, ethical hacking, and security solution design.
• Experience in developing tools or scripts to assist with various security research tasks.
