This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of annual and off-cycle compensation cycles in Workday, covering planning, configuration, execution, auditing, and closure.
• Act as the subject-matter expert in Workday Compensation, including salary plans, grade profiles, merit and bonus plans, and advanced compensation features.
• Collaborate closely with Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Finance, and Payroll to convert compensation strategies into scalable configurations in Workday.
• Lead the gathering of requirements, design, building, testing, and implementation of compensation-related enhancements, releases, and new functionalities.
• Create and manage comprehensive test plans and regression suites; ensure data integrity is maintained across all compensation processes.
• Diagnose and resolve compensation system issues, serving as an escalation point for the broader People Systems and HR Operations teams.
• Actively seek opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance compensation workflows and reporting.
• Generate clear documentation — including process flows, configuration guides, and training materials — for HR and business stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of Workday roadmap updates and assess new features within the compensation domain.
• Collaborate across Workday modules — such as HCM, Payroll, and Benefits — to support wider People Systems project demands, backlog priorities, and team capacity needs during lower-volume periods in the compensation calendar.
• Over 5 years of practical Workday HCM experience, with at least 3 years concentrated specifically on Workday Compensation configuration and administration.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) at a large, fast-paced organization — you have successfully done this before and can replicate it with minimal guidance.
• Extensive knowledge of Workday Compensation concepts: salary plans, grade profiles, compensation eligibility rules, compensation review cycles, and worksheets.
• Strong grasp of compensation principles and HR data — you are fluent in both 'comp' and 'systems'.
• Ability to convert ambiguous business requirements into clear, scalable technical configurations.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities; comfortable engaging with EIBs, calculated fields, and Workday reporting.
• Strong communication skills — capable of explaining complex system concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
• Familiarity with adjacent Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, or Benefits) and a willingness to contribute actively across module areas as project and team requirements evolve.
• The cash compensation provided includes base salary, on-target commission for eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for qualifying positions.
• In addition to cash compensation, some roles may be eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
• Certain roles may also qualify for overtime pay.
• Individual compensation packages are customized based on your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
