Senior Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a skilled Senior Video Editor to become part of a US-based media organization that specializes in conservative, news-oriented content related to immigration, border security, crime, and national security.

• This position will concentrate on creating cinematic long-form documentary pieces (10-45+ minutes) as well as short-form social media clips derived from the same footage for platforms such as YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

• You will collaborate closely with producers on scripted, voiceover-led narrative projects, taking full ownership of the editing process from raw footage to the final published product across both formats.

• The production team will provide scripts, sourced footage, and detailed briefs; your role will be to apply your storytelling abilities and technical expertise to transform this material into compelling and emotionally resonant content.

• You will be responsible for delivering each assigned edit on or before the deadline within two rounds of revisions, ensuring a cinematic and journalistic tone in both long-form and short-form outputs, while producing content that captivates viewers through effective narrative structure, pacing, and platform-specific optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional spoken and written English with strong, proactive communication abilities.

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in editing narrative, documentary, or long-form content.

• Expert-level skill in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

• A proven portfolio that displays both long-form narrative work and short-form social media clips.

• Strong instincts for pacing, hook structure, and emotional storytelling.

• Proficiency in audio mixing, color correction, B-roll integration, sound design, and subtitle formatting.

• Familiarity with platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios, opening seconds, caption styles) for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok.

• Capability to independently manage technical issues and file organization using Google Drive or Dropbox.

• Availability for 60 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with overlap during US daytime hours.

• Must be responsive on Slack within 15-30 minutes during working hours.

• A fast and reliable internet connection; possession of a laptop or desktop suitable for the job; a quiet workspace; and a high-quality microphone or headset are required.

• Compensation

• $800-$1,200 USD per month, based on experience and demonstrated quality of output.

• Salary will be reviewed after 90 days, considering adherence to deadlines, revision rates, brand consistency, and producer feedback.

• The top tier ($1,200) is reserved for editors who consistently achieve first-submission sign-off at 70%+ with no missed deadlines.
