Senior Technical Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Operate from the Bloomington, MN office while reporting to the Senior Manager of Technical Training in Budd Lake, NJ.

• Accountable for delivering training resources to ONTO Service Engineers and Customers.

• Develops training courses tailored for customers and ONTO service engineers.

• Facilitates technical training sessions.

• Collaborates with customers and functional teams to create specifications for course content.

• Creates lesson plans utilizing engineering documentation, field service requirements, or software manuals.

• Partners with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure course materials accurately represent current product features.

• Instructs participants through both classroom lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions.

• Conducts follow-ups to ensure course materials remain current and applicable.

• Maintains operational readiness of training tools and addresses any issues that arise during or after class.

• Must be willing to travel to provide on-the-job training, customer education, and certification for service engineers globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.

• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in Technical Training is preferred.

• Familiarity with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

• Knowledge of video editing/processing software is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is necessary.

• A current passport or entry authorization is mandatory.

• Background in electrical/electronics is essential.

• Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams is required.

• Familiarity with Optics or Physics is beneficial, though not always necessary.

• Experience with electrical tools such as Digital Multi-meters and Oscilloscopes is expected.
