Senior Technical Specialist – PBI CTR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

• Create efficient data models utilizing star and snowflake schemas.

• Develop intricate calculations, KPIs, and business metrics using DAX.

• Implement row-level security (RLS) and adhere to data governance best practices.

• Optimize report performance while managing Power BI datasets and workspaces.

• Publish, schedule, and maintain reports in Power BI Service.

• Develop, modify, and support both operational and analytical reports using SSRS.

• Construct paginated reports and deliver pixel-perfect reporting solutions.

• Maintain the existing SSRS report catalog and its subscriptions.

• Troubleshoot issues related to report performance and data retrieval.

• Assist in migrating legacy SSRS reports to Power BI as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 6 years of professional experience.

• 4 to 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Reporting Solutions.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI development.

• Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling techniques.

• Practical experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).

• Advanced SQL development skills on SQL Server.

• Familiarity with Power BI Service, Gateways, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

• Knowledge of report performance tuning and optimization techniques.

• Experience managing large datasets and complex reporting environments.

• Preferred: Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.

• Preferred: Knowledge of SSIS and SSAS.

• Preferred: Experience with Paginated Reports in Power BI.

• Preferred: Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Preferred: Exposure to REST APIs and data integration techniques.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with SSRS to Power BI migration projects.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in Financial, Sales, Operations, or Supply Chain reporting.

• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Enterprise BI governance and security frameworks.
