This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Proactively initiate, pursue, and secure engagements in remediation, environmental liability, and waste management independently, without depending on internally generated leads.

• Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring accountability for repeat business, client growth, and fostering long-term relationships.

• Identify opportunities within sectors such as insurance, industrial, energy, manufacturing, and transactional advisory, focusing on remediation, liability assessments, redevelopment, and sustainable environmental programs.

• Oversee large-scale and intricate waste and remediation initiatives, including multi-site portfolios, corrective action locations, redevelopment-focused remediation, CCR facilities, landfills, and extended programmatic engagements.

• Directly manage projects initiated by the Senior Technical Director from the pursuit phase through to execution and completion.

• Retain responsibility for scope management, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring project profitability.

• Provide expert technical leadership on remediation strategies, corrective actions, regulatory negotiations, and closure planning.

• Spearhead the creation of conceptual site models, remedial alternatives evaluations, cost-to-closure assessments, and liability frameworks.

• Collaborate with hydrogeology, geochemistry, risk assessment, and transactional advisory teams.

• Engage directly with regulatory bodies (EPA, state agencies, and others) regarding remedial strategies, permitting, and closure processes.

• Assist clients with enforcement actions, consent orders, corrective actions, and redevelopment discussions.

• Advise clients on the technical components of environmental due diligence and transaction advisory, encompassing environmental liability evaluations, remediation risk assessments, and both pre- and post-acquisition planning.

• Offer remediation and regulatory strategies to support redevelopment and brownfield initiatives, ensuring alignment with development timelines and closure objectives.

• Provide advisory assistance concerning environmental claims, including the review and validation of remediation expenses and technical support for insurance and legal stakeholders.

• Mentor and cultivate technical personnel while fostering a sustainable work pipeline to enhance utilization and growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field; advanced degrees and professional certifications (PG, PE) are preferred.

• 10 to 15+ years of consulting experience in waste management, remediation, corrective action, or environmental liability advisory services.

• Proven experience with regulatory frameworks such as RCRA, CERCLA, CCR Rule, state corrective action programs, and risk-based closure methodologies.

• A successful history of originating consulting projects and maintaining long-term client relationships within an external consulting framework.

• Demonstrated capability to clearly articulate a proactive pipeline of client opportunities in waste, remediation, and environmental liability services.

• Experience in serving as the primary client contact, with accountability for pursuit strategies, pricing, and securing repeat business.

• Proficiency in managing complex technical projects while ensuring profitability and adherence to schedules.

• Strong skills in technical writing, quality assurance/control, and delivering presentations.

• Demonstrated business acumen related to opportunity assessment, client development, and service line expansion.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
