This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Design and develop scalable PCG frameworks using Unreal Engine 5.
• Create production-ready procedural tools for the Level Art and Environment Art teams.
• Construct reusable procedural systems for biome population, vegetation placement, set dressing, road generation, and world composition.
• Specify technical requirements and generate implementation tasks for artists, designers, and engineers.
• Set procedural generation standards and establish best practices.
• Collaborate with Level Artists to enhance production workflows and increase iteration speed.
• Optimize procedural systems for projects based on World Partition.
• Evaluate performance, memory usage, and streaming behavior of the generated content.
• Document workflows, tools, and technical standards.
• At least 5 years of experience in the game development or CG industry.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Technical Artist.
• Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine 5.
• Significant production experience with the UE5 Procedural Content Generation (PCG) Framework.
• Experience in creating artist-friendly procedural workflows and tools for Level Artists and Environment Artists.
• In-depth understanding of World Partition, Data Layers, HLOD, Streaming, and open-world production workflows.
• Strong grasp of environment optimization techniques and performance profiling.
• Experience in designing scalable content pipelines for expansive environments.
• Proficient in writing technical documentation and establishing technical requirements for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively with the Art, Design, and Engineering departments.
• Solid understanding of Unreal Engine rendering and content pipelines.
• Familiarity with Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unreal (strong plus but not mandatory).
• Experience with Geometry Script.
• Knowledge of Editor Utility Widgets and pipeline automation.
• Proficient in Blueprint scripting.
• C++ knowledge relevant to Unreal Engine workflows.
• Expertise in shaders, materials, and rendering optimization.
• Experience with Landscape, RVT, Foliage, Procedural Foliage, Splines, and World Building systems.
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Knowledge of Niagara and procedural VFX.
• Background in Environment Art production.
• Understanding of modular environment creation workflows and asset optimization.
• English proficiency: B1+
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capability to gather production requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
