📋 Description

• In the role of Technical Artist with a focus on procedural generation and Unreal Engine, you will oversee the pipeline aspects of UE5, including its scalability and optimization.

• You will work in close collaboration with both the art and engineering teams to ensure that the visual quality of the game is upheld while achieving performance targets across various platforms.

• The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background along with a profound understanding of Unreal Engine's technical components, rendering pipeline, and general procedural workflows.

• You will be responsible for establishing a procedural pipeline that adheres to visual standards while fulfilling performance objectives.

• Your tasks will include the development and enhancement of tools and techniques aimed at optimizing game assets, shaders, and environments within Unreal Engine or the proprietary engines of clients.

• You will also create documentation for optimization workflows, tools, and best practices to facilitate team efficiency and knowledge dissemination.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the game development or another CG industry.

• At least 2 years of experience serving as a Technical Artist.

• Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4 or 5, or any other leading game engine, with a comprehensive understanding of its art and rendering pipelines.

• Strong grasp of performance optimization techniques and best practices within game development.

• Expertise in UE5's PCG.

• Experience and skill in using Houdini.

• Proven ability to develop custom tools and scripts that improve and streamline art workflows.

• Expertise in creating and optimizing shaders, materials, and visual effects for game environments.

• Familiarity with material creation and optimization processes (Master Materials, Material Functions, Material Layers, Material Collection Parameters).

• Knowledge of the environment asset pipeline (Displacement, Decimation Workflow, Modular Workflow, Texel Density, Collisions, Sculpting, UVs, Building Creations).

• Experience with world-building systems (Landscape, RVT, Foliage, Procedural Foliage).

• Proficiency in at least one 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Blender, or the Substance Package.

• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Vex, MEL, and Maxscript.

• Experience with VFX software like Embergen or the Niagara plugin in UE is advantageous.

• Scripting skills including Python and tooling (editor utility widget), as well as Excel proficiency.
