This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assist in the collection and organization of financial information from the APAC finance teams to ensure precise tax compliance throughout the region.
• Oversee and evaluate APAC corporate income tax returns prepared by external tax advisors, ensuring technical correctness and conformity with group standards.
• Help respond to APAC tax assessments, audits, and regulatory notices by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual cash tax forecasts and complete tax risk assessments and questionnaires.
• Prepare the regional tax provision for financial reporting purposes in line with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Serve as a primary contact for both internal and external auditors, addressing tax-related inquiries and supporting audits.
• Keep track of and interpret changes in tax laws and developments across the APAC region, maintaining current technical knowledge.
• Provide tax assistance for special projects, business initiatives, and strategic transactions as needed.
• Clearly communicate tax concepts and implications to non-tax stakeholders in an understandable and pragmatic way.
• Manage group tax administrative tools and processes, including tax compliance trackers and JIRA workflows.
• Support broader group tax initiatives and collaborate with global tax colleagues as required.
• Continue professional growth, including completing tax and accounting qualifications to enhance in-house advisory capabilities.
• Engage in limited travel to facilitate collaboration with the group tax and global finance teams.
• You hold a certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
• You possess up to 8-9 years of overall work experience.
• You have 4–5 years of experience in corporate tax within the APAC region, gained from a Big 4 accounting firm or a multinational organization.
• You have strong technical expertise in APAC corporate income tax principles and statutory reporting requirements, particularly with a focus on Indian tax.
• You have working knowledge of VAT/GST and other indirect taxes.
• You demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• You are a certified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• You are knowledgeable about IFRS and US GAAP tax accounting principles.
• You have experience with tax technology platforms, such as Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision (preferred).
• You possess strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships across finance and business teams.
• You have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• You exhibit a proactive and self-motivated mindset, capable of working effectively in diverse, multicultural, international teams, focused on practical and commercially driven solutions.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
