Senior Tableau Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the main support contact for existing Tableau dashboards.

• Resolve issues, respond to user inquiries, and assist with navigation and usage.

• Oversee dashboards to proactively detect and address performance or data issues before they escalate.

• Serve as the initial line of defense for incoming requests and incidents.

• Triage tickets, provide quick fixes, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members.

• Ensure prompt diagnosis and resolution of dashboard-related problems to minimize downtime.

• Assist in designing, implementing, and managing a structured ticketing system for analytics requests.

• Establish a centralized intake process for issues, enhancements, and support needs.

• Monitor, prioritize, and report on incoming work to maintain visibility and accountability.

• Decrease reliance on individual contributors by effectively distributing the workload.

• Support operational continuity by maintaining documentation and standard processes.

• Help avert reactive "fire drills" by instituting proactive monitoring practices.

• Collaborate with dashboard developers to minimize interruptions and sustain development momentum.

• Offer guidance and basic training to users to enhance dashboard adoption and self-service.

• Work together with data teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in administering Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud environments.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities with dashboards, data sources, and performance issues.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).

• Basic knowledge of SQL and data structures.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of supporting both technical and non-technical users.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests in a dynamic environment.

• **Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience in setting up monitoring, alerts, and governance processes in Tableau.

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Experience in building or supporting analytics workflows within a business context.
