Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain system architecture, design documentation, and interface control specifications.

• Offer engineering support for radar distribution systems, including integration, monitoring, performance tuning, and redundancy to guarantee seamless delivery of radar feeds to stakeholders.

• Perform requirements analysis, gap analysis, and system trade-off studies to aid in technical decision-making.

• Design and implement solutions that provide high availability (HA), fault tolerance, and automated failover (e.g., clustering, load balancing, redundant services).

• Assist with disaster recovery (DR) planning by designing resilient architectures and participating in regular DR exercises.

• Ensure that distributed systems are designed for quick recovery and continuity of services in case of system or site-level failures.

• Offer system integration and testing support, including regression, performance, and failover testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is mandatory.

• Must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as outlined in the contract.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.

• Experience with data and analysis technologies is essential.

• Provide expertise and assistance with proposal initiatives.

• Must be a US citizen or hold valid immigration status permitting work in the US and have resided in the US for the last 3 years.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
