Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Office of Performance Analysis by delivering Air Traffic System Automation Support, which includes Systems Engineering Support, Technical Analysis Support, and Portfolio Support.

• The Systems Engineer will be tasked with creating system engineering Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) documentation for a knowledge-sharing application.

• Engage with customers to gather and document system functional requirements.

• Transform customer needs into comprehensive, functional, and technical requirements.

• Create system engineering System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), diagrams, and any other necessary documentation.

• Monitor the system from post-award through the completion of design and development phases.

• Possess strong communication and writing abilities to clearly articulate technical details and issues to non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS degree is required, along with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Demonstrated experience as a government development contractor for information technology initiatives.

• Knowledge of cloud-based development and deployment, particularly with Amazon Web Services.

• Familiarity with the JIRA toolset.

• Experience with various database technologies.

• Ability to develop and lead working groups that include multiple agencies and senior-level personnel to reach shared objectives.

• Experience in developing system-level designs and process flows.

• Capability to assist customers and program staff with project scheduling.

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
