Senior Staff Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of sophisticated API architectures, employing advanced principles of API Design and API Management.

• Create and implement secure authentication and authorization strategies for various API services, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures.

• Propel the integration of automation technologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, to enhance development and deployment workflows.

• Offer expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, nurturing a culture of innovation and adherence to best practices.

• Oversee and manage the technical elements of client projects, encompassing scoping, planning, and execution, showcasing strong project management skills.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure effective technical communication.

• Utilize expertise in Docker (Software), Git, and Linux environments for the development, deployment, and troubleshooting of solutions.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in the Software Development Life Cycle, guaranteeing high-quality and scalable solutions.

• Conduct complex system integration tasks, ensuring seamless interoperability between varied systems and platforms.

• Proactively identify and address technical challenges, showcasing strong problem-solving capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a solutions engineering, software architecture, or senior development position.

• Proven expertise in API Design and API Management platforms (experience with Kong is highly valued).

• Comprehensive knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols and best practices.

• Demonstrated experience with automation technology, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines.

• Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.

• Proficient in Docker (Software), Git, and Linux operating systems.

• Extensive experience with the Software Development Life Cycle.

• Excellent project management skills with a proven history of successful project delivery.

• Robust system integration experience across diverse technologies.

• Outstanding technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
