Senior Staff Software Engineer – Duck Creek

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Serve as a hands-on technical leader for Scrum teams.

• Responsible for ensuring the delivery of technical outcomes throughout the software development life cycle.

• Actively identify and address technical challenges and risks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document effective solutions.

• Provide mentorship and training to project team members.

• Facilitate coordination among various disciplines to create cohesive solutions.

• Conduct comprehensive technical reviews, including code assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Have a minimum of 10-12 years of professional experience in application development.

• Accumulate at least 7 years of experience in leading application design initiatives.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of cloud-hosted applications, preferably AWS.

• Familiarity with DuckCreek products, including Policy, Billing, and Data Insights.

• Experience with continuous integration and DevOps practices.

• Proficient in Agile development methodologies.

• Skilled in designing and developing high-performing applications capable of supporting over 2000 concurrent users.

• Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance concepts.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the US without the need for company sponsorship.
