Senior Staff Software Development Engineer – Security Platform, Data Pipelines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Rapidly familiarize yourself with Zscaler’s SecOps platform by leveraging Python and APIs to set up, tailor, and automate data transformations and workflows.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts (SMEs) to integrate new data pipelines and align various IT and security sources to meet specific customer requirements.

• Actively troubleshoot the health of data pipelines and review customer data across different environments to pinpoint quality concerns, highlight security vulnerabilities, and establish clear remediation strategies.

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Services teams to convert customer requirements into practical implementation and integration plans.

• Clearly convey technical findings to stakeholders and provide valuable, field-based insights to Engineering to support ongoing product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience managing the full lifecycle of data pipelines, including ingestion, mapping, deduplication, normalization, merging, and unification.

• Specialized knowledge of working with data pipelines within cybersecurity platforms (e.g., SIEM, Unified Vulnerability Management) along with a comprehensive understanding of vulnerability, exposure, and threat management.

• Demonstrated capability to integrate various security tools and data sources, such as EDR, vulnerability scanners, CNAPP/CSPM, ticketing systems/CMDB, identity providers, and cloud logs.

• Strong expertise in data modeling and SQL, coupled with the analytical skills necessary to investigate and resolve complex data issues from start to finish.

• Experience utilizing Python for data parsing, executing transformations, interacting with APIs, and developing automation scripts.
