Senior Staff Engineer, GenAI, Playwright

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain automation frameworks based on Playwright (UI/E2E)

• Design and perform API, integration, and contract tests

• Advocate for Shift-Left testing and automation strategies

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (using GitHub Actions) for expedited releases

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to verify business logic and system functionality

• Implement and endorse AI-driven testing methodologies (GenAI, agent workflows, prompt-based automation)

• Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and reliable

• Establish monitoring and observability practices (e.g., New Relic)

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release cycles, and production rollouts

• Strive for continuous enhancement of test coverage, automation efficiency, and quality standards

• Work collaboratively across teams in complex enterprise settings with changing requirements


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7.5 years of total experience

• Extensive experience in Quality Engineering / Test Automation (UI, API, Integration)

• Proficiency in Python (Expert) and Playwright with Java (Essential)

• Practical experience in API Testing (REST APIs – Expert level)

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems

• Hands-on exposure to AI Agents and GenAI / LLM-based tools (e.g., Copilot, prompt-driven automation)

• Competence in modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) and version control systems (Git)

• Knowledge of test management tools (QMetry preferred; others are acceptable)

• Experience utilizing Jira for test management, defect tracking, and release processes

• Understanding Agile methodologies, BDD, TDD, and Shift-Left testing practices

• Familiarity with contract testing (Pact.io – Nice to Have)

• Awareness of observability tools (e.g., New Relic – Nice to Have)

• Solid understanding of performance testing and high-traffic systems

• Ability to work on enterprise platforms (not limited to greenfield systems)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
