This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and enhance the architectural vision for customer-facing frontend systems in alignment with the company's business strategy.
• Promote front-end excellence throughout engineering, ensuring the development of fast, accessible, and visually appealing experiences that embody the Hims & Hers brand.
• Develop patterns and frameworks that guarantee quality, resilience, and operational excellence across the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to influence product direction and ensure our architecture aligns with strategic objectives.
• Mentor senior technical leaders and engineers, enhancing engineering capabilities throughout the organization.
• Lead effectively through complexity and ambiguity, providing clarity where ownership is uncertain.
• Convert customer needs and product objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Design systems and team boundaries to foster sustainable growth.
• Over 12 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of technical leadership at the group level.
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js, GraphQL) with hands-on experience delivering high-performance web applications at scale.
• Full-stack proficiency with backend skills in Node.js and Python, facilitating end-to-end ownership of features and systems.
• Extensive knowledge in UI performance, web accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience in introducing and scaling shared frontend infrastructure, component libraries, or design systems across various teams.
• Proven ability to promote architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across multiple functions.
• Experience in translating customer and product requirements into dependable, maintainable, and impactful technical solutions.
• A history of driving significant improvements in developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability.
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in high ambiguity and empowering teams to perform effectively in dynamic or uncertain situations.
