This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding Amgen products.
• Share clinical product insights with healthcare professionals and assist in navigating the payer landscape.
• Articulate clinical advantages to promote appropriate usage of products.
• Drive sales within the territory through branded messaging, planned initiatives, and educational programs for medical professionals.
• Organize and follow up on educational programs in the medical field.
• Meet or surpass sales goals through both face-to-face and virtual engagement.
• Build, service, and manage customer accounts effectively.
• Tailor conversations to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Ensure product accessibility and address or escalate reimbursement challenges.
• Maintain contracts related to products.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales activities and overall territory performance.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to develop strategic territory plans.
• Share effective practices and engage in continuous learning with peers.
• Enhance product brands while prioritizing patient impact.
• Adhere to Amgen's values, ethical standards, quality, collaboration, communication, and accountability.
• Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of Sales experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of Sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or non-sales healthcare/scientific clinical experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 years of such experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of such experience.
• Preferred: At least three years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors.
• Preferred: Experience in product or hospital sales within relevant specialty areas, such as cardiology.
• Preferred: Familiarity with the local market.
• Preferred: Established connections within the territory.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
• Skills in adaptability for planning and organization, industry knowledge, effective communication, result-oriented delivery, and relationship building.
