Senior Specialist, Precision Machining

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development of new suppliers and cultivate strategic partnerships.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure effective development of new sourcing options.

• Evaluate metal products, precision machining, and raw material supply chains to formulate strategies that bolster DoD programs.

• Assist in the planning and execution of vital precision machining projects across various Munition Acceleration Committee (MAC) focused initiatives.

• Oversee budgets related to capacity projects.

• Travel up to 20% to supplier sites (may involve some international travel as necessary).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant machining experience.

• Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related machining experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of pertinent machining experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in Supply Chain management within precision machining, rare earth minerals, castings, and forgings is preferred.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, along with MRP/ERP system familiarity.

• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.

• Competence in leading meetings and crafting presentation materials.
