This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as the primary, trusted representative of CompassX to senior client stakeholders, establishing the credibility necessary to be invited to discussions before challenges are fully articulated.
• Facilitate executive-level discussions that transform vague business challenges into clear, actionable solutions.
• Build consensus among stakeholder groups with conflicting priorities, adeptly navigating organizational dynamics to maintain momentum.
• Take ownership of the solution design itself, shaping the approach, validating it technically, and defending it under scrutiny.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and data/AI practitioners to ensure the technical strategy is sound while remaining the accountable owner of the overall solution.
• Promote process improvement and recommendations for 'ways of working' as integral parts of the solution rather than as an afterthought.
• Assess the feasibility of data and AI use cases, articulating knowledge of data pipelines, model approaches, and modern architecture.
• Provide insights on where AI truly adds value to a solution and where its application may not be appropriate.
• Integrate AI into your work style (research, synthesis, solutioning), exemplifying the modern practices that CompassX offers to clients.
• Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of delivery fundamentals—Agile, UAT, data validation—to maintain the credibility of a workstream, with support from delivery specialists when needed.
• Note that this position is not focused on scrum-master or backlog-management responsibilities; delivery mechanics are considered a supplementary skill rather than a core job requirement.
• Over 8 years of experience in consulting, product ownership, and/or solution design, preferably with a reputable consulting firm.
• Proven history of being a trusted senior presence in interactions with executive clients, rather than merely coordinating workstreams.
• Genuine experience in shaping or designing a solution (architecture, process, or product), rather than solely managing its delivery.
• Working knowledge of data and AI environments, including pipelines, analytics, model evaluation, or modern data architecture.
• Excellent executive communication and consensus-building abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (in Business, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Ideally located in Southern California.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Flexible working hours and remote work options.
• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
• Engaging company culture with team-building activities.
