Senior Software Engineer, Vendor Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs utilizing Python, incorporating AI-assisted development and automation as a standard practice in the workflow.

• Take ownership of features from inception through to production, ensuring accountability for quality, performance, and maintainability.

• Proactively promote AI integration within the engineering team by introducing, enhancing, and scaling AI-driven workflows throughout the development lifecycle.

• Recognize opportunities where AI can minimize manual work, enhance code quality, speed up delivery, or boost operational reliability.

• Create and support single-page applications using Vue.

• Collaborate closely with engineers in small, cross-functional feature teams.

• Work together with Product Managers and other teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

• Partner with your Engineering Manager to foster technical growth, mentorship, and career advancement.

• Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned to align with team and business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Extensive hands-on expertise with Python and backend service development.

• Demonstrated experience in guiding teams to embrace new engineering practices, especially those related to AI-driven development.

• Strong background in designing, building, and integrating APIs.

• Comprehensive understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.

• Practical knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with Django, DRF, or FastAPI.

• Frontend experience with either Vue or React.

• Understanding of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and fundamental infrastructure concepts.

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient in English, with excellent communication abilities.
