Senior Software Engineer, Vault

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Automate the vault pipeline: Significantly decrease the duration from item receipt to its availability on the platform by developing intake automation, scan orchestration, and quality-control tools.

• Expand beyond cards: Create and implement workflows for the ingestion, grading, and pricing of non-card asset classes (such as watches, art, and sealed wax) to ensure that Alt Values are accessible as soon as items are vaulted.

• Build Vault-as-a-Service: Design the account infrastructure, billing systems, and APIs that enable enterprise partners to programmatically vault, ship, and manage assets on a large scale.

• Ship the digitization stack: Enhance card imaging, lighting processes, and assist in transforming static front/back images into 360-degree views for digital repackers.

• Own the full stack: Drive features from technical design to a refined user interface — as Vault interacts with real-world operations, the product's appearance must match the quality of the backend.

• Be a multiplier: Elevate the expanding Vault team through code reviews, the creation of technical documentation, and mentorship.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience (Python, Postgres, AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure) coupled with frontend experience (React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript)

• Proven ability to take ownership of features or systems from conception to production

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities — you produce high-quality documentation, pose insightful questions, and provide constructive feedback

• A user-centric approach with a keen eye for clean user experience and performance

• Bonus: Familiarity with the collectibles sector or alternative asset marketplaces is a plus
