Senior Software Engineer, Trading Technology – Query Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of fault-tolerant, containerized distributed systems of microservices, facilitating the writing and reading of exchange data.

• Deliver services to both internal and external clients, including new products, support tools, and analysis tools. This environment is dynamic, with a diverse and expanding product portfolio.

• Assess and evaluate new technologies.

• Collaborate with colleagues and both internal and external users on technical design and strategic direction.

• Serve as a senior technical resource for junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

• Have 10+ years of experience in writing Java components within a distributed, fault-tolerant environment, including integration with data sources such as relational databases and messaging middleware.

• Be comfortable with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), with a solid understanding of clean coding principles.

• Experience with Spring framework.

• Knowledge of REST services for data extraction and insertion from databases.

• Strong engineering skills with a deep understanding of fundamental Computer Science principles.

• Experience working in a Linux/containerized environment and tuning it for optimal performance.

• Ability to collaborate across different time zones and team boundaries to achieve the best possible outcomes.
